Hearts continued their build-up for season 2018/19 with a weekend of victories over lower league opponents.

On Saturday Craig Levein’s men defeated Dumbarton 2-0 thanks to two goals from recent signing Uche Ikpeazu while on Sunday afternoon, a much-changed Hearts team defeated Partick Thistle 3-1 in a game played at Cowdenbeath’s Central Park. Two goals from Olly Lee and an early strike from Ben Garuccio – also recent arrivals in Gorgie – saw Hearts continue their winning pre-season run.
