You are encourage to get along to Leith Links tomorrow to celebrate the achievements of people who have a learning disability and the organisations who provide support at the Learning Disability Festival 2018.

Now in its fourth year this popular festival will take place between 11.30am and 3pm and all are welcome to visit the information stalls and take part in the activities.

The Local Area Co-ordination Team got together with organisations from across the capital including Garvald, Orcadia, Upward Mobility, Get2Gether, Volunteers Centre Edinburgh and Edinburgh College to plan and organise the event.

A line-up of performers keen to show off a range of talents on from a main stage will entertain the audience.. In addition to face-painting and activities for children, visitors can watch or take part in various sports including football, boccia and rugby before browsing stalls.

The festival will also see the return of the “Catwalk of Success” where anyone on the day can talk about their achievements and share their story.

Cllr Ricky Henderson, Chair of the Edinburgh Integration Joint Board said: “Now in its fourth year this festival just gets bigger and better. It has grown in popularity year on year, with last year’s festival being the biggest yet – despite the rain!

“This festival is an opportunity to explore and celebrate the contributions people who have a learning disability make to our wider community and would encourage everyone who can make it along to check it out.”
