A 42-year-old man has been charged after a cannabis cultivation was found within a house in Musselburgh

It follows a search of a man and a car on Stoneyhill Place on Friday 6th April.

Cannabis valued at around £25,000 was seized from the property, also on Stoneyhill Place, and the  man has been released on an undertaking to appear before Edinburgh Sheriff Court on 1st May.

Detective Sergeant Jordan Sharp of the Community Investigation Unit said: “This was a significant quantity of drugs removed from the market as a result of the initial stop and search and the work of the officers in attendance.

“Drugs and their associated criminality can blight communities and I would urge anyone with information that can help us tackle this to please report it to police on 101 or through Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
