Hearts attacking midfielder Jamie Walker has been ruled out until at least the end of November after sustaining a hamstring injury during last Saturday’s 3-1 defeat by Rangers in the Ladbrokes Premiership.

The 24-year-old limped off the BT Murrayfield pitch early in the second half and it appeared at that time that he had suffered the type of injury that would take a few weeks recovery. With influential midfielders Arnaud Djoum and Don Cowie also missing, Head Coach Craig Levein doesn’t have his problems to seek.

Hearts face Kilmarnock in the Ladbrokes Premiership at the home of Scottish rugby this Sunday before the international break the following weekend. Craig Levein’s men are then scheduled to return to Gorgie on 19th November to face Partick Thistle at a new-look Tynecastle.

Walker’s target is to return for the home fixture against Ross County on 25th November.
