The  team at Specsavers in North Bridge has been celebrating the store’s 10th birthday with a fundraising event for Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) during National Eye Health week.

The High Street opticians was decorated with balloons and banners to mark the special occasion and raised £81 for RNIB with a tasty bake sale. Staff dressed up in a ‘decades’ theme and customers joined in the celebrations.

Customers throughout the day were entered into a prize draw with ten lucky winners selected to each receive a pair of designer frames.

Jennifer Ballantyne, store director at Specsavers North Bridges, says: ‘It was great to celebrate our 10th birthday with the store team and everyone who visited us on our special day.

‘We want to thank our customers for their loyalty and support over the years – we are so pleased to see that many locals have been with us since our opening day and we welcome new customers regularly.

‘The store is very much a part of the local community and we take great pride in that. We look forward to the next 10 years.’
