Brendan Brooks claimed a double as Braehead Clan snapped a four-game losing streak.

Clan led 4-1 at one stage but Edinburgh claimed two goals in just over one, third-period minute to bring the score back to 4-3 with less than ten minutes left.

But Brooks’ power play, empty net strike with 45 seconds left clinched the points.

Dundee Stars let slip a 3-0, first-period lead to go down 4-3 after penalty shots at Elite League pace-setters Manchester Storm.

Ciaran Long netted the game-winning penalty shot after misses from Stars players Riley Stadel, Patrick Lee and Marc-Olivier Mimar.

Jonathan Ferland claimed a double as Belfast Giants qualified for the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup with a 5-0 victory over Fife Flyers.

They led 3-0 after 11 minutes and claimed another two goals in the final three minutes.
