Waterstones are inviting you to the launch of their new bookshop and café at Fort Kinnaird. The new shop at 31b Kinnaird Park will officially open tomorrow Saturday 1 July 2017.

The bookseller is the UK and Ireland’s leading high street outlet with 276 shops. The average sized shop carries a range of about 30,000 individual books.

Bookshop Manager Keith Cooper is looking forward to the big day. He said: “We are so excited to open our beautiful new bookshop at Fort Kinnaird. Moving to a new location has given us the opportunity to tailor our offer to customers’ interest.

Cooper also spoke of the new shop’s aims: “We want everyone to feel welcome and we will be working hard to make sure that our customers love their new Waterstones just as much as we do.”

Opening alongside the new bookshop is a café, which will be situated on the first floor. Waterstones hope this will be a place for community groups to meet up. They will also be hosting reading groups for all ages.

Waterstones Cafe Manager, Keti Margi said: “All our coffee is made with signature Waterstones blend beans from Glasgow based Matthew Algie. From cheese toasties to New Yorkers, there’s something for everyone.”

To show the new bookshop’s commitment to local writers, Edinburgh-based author Mary Paulson-Ellis will be at the launch on Saturday 1 July as guest of honour.

The celebrations promise to be a fun day for all the family including activities and story times.
