Neil Lennon’s Assistant Coach Garry Parker expects a tough match tonight against a St Mirren side aiming to avoid relegation, especially as they have picked up positive results in recent weeks.

Hibs have drawn their last three league fixtures against team in the lower half of the Championship but Parker believes that the result will boil down to how well the team do when they visit the Paisley 2021 Stadium and is looking for the players to have the right attitude going into the game.

With a number of injuries to the back four, Lennon has brought in Efe Ambrose on an ‘Emergency Loan’ from Celtic and the Nigerian international is expected to start the game.

Speaking to Hibernian TV, Parker said: ” We are looking forward to the game after the weekend. Just to get a draw was disappointing and the lads were tired toward the end but that’s gone.

“We can go ten points clear and that is our aim. We are going to try and put on a good show and to win the game.

“St Mirren are fighting and trying to get off the bottom of the league and have had some good results lately.

“The result will come down to us though. We need to go there with the right attitude and get the three points that we need.

“We won’t take them lightly. They try and play football but it’s about us at the end of the day.

“Our fans have been very good. Sometimes when we haven’t played so well they have made their feelings know and I agree with them and other tomes when we have won they got right behind us.They were fantastic against the Hearts and we need their support and for them to keep going and get behind us.”
