The four political parties represented on the council in Edinburgh have all lodged their own versions of what the council should spend almost £1 billion on in the coming financial year.

The city’s grant from Holyrood has been reduced by £27m and it is within these financial constraints that the council’s Capital Coalition made up of SNP and Labour groups say they are prioritising the old, the young and the vulnerable.
