Inverleith will defend the Scottish indoor hockey title against arch, Dundee rivals Grove Menzieshill on Saturday at Bell’s Sports Centre, Perth.

Bromac Kelburne from Paisley also face Grange in the third and fourth play-off at the same venue on Saturday.

Inverleith secured their place with a 7-4 win over city rivals Grange in their semi-final and survived a scare as the opposition battled back from a 4-2 deficit to level at 4-4 before a late surge with goals from Derek Salmond and a double from Patrick Christie.

Grove, who have won the title on 19 occasions, scored three goals in the opening ten minutes of their 7-5 win over free-scoring Bromac Kelburne but the tie was still in the balance at 5-5 going into the final five minutes but late strikes from Ross McPherson and Ben Cromar saw them home.

At the other end of the table, Uddingston Riva are relegated after losing their seventh and eighth placed play-off and Hillhead face a play-off to stay in the top flight after being beaten 6-2 by Western Wildcats.
