So you want a real Christmas tree this year? Well here is The Edinburgh Reporter list of where to go and get it in time for carols around the tree.

Bethany Christian Trust sells Caring Christmas Trees each winter with the proceeds going to projects such as the Care Shelter.   People order their tree online and can then collect it from a number of sites across the city on a couple of weekends before Christmas.

This year they are very short of volunteers to help with the distribution of the trees and they need your help.

The role involves greeting members of the public, marking them off a list, helping them to choose a tree and load it into their car.  The slots are 9.30am till 12.30pm or 12 noon till 2.30pm at the following sites:

Please click on the links above if you would be able to give a couple of hours of your time.  If you only have partial availability – say one or two hours – you can volunteer by emailing volunteers@caringchristmastrees.com or by calling 0345 111 8733.
