Missing man Stuart Hamilton has been spotted in Central London.

The 37-year-old was reported missing on Monday, September 26, after failing to contact family and friends for the previous two weeks.

He was traced on CCTV to Edinburgh’s Haymarket Station on Sunday, September 25 at 10.16am.  He then travelled by train to Manchester and it is now understood that he may be in Central London.

He was spotted by a former colleague near to Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, September 27 at 1.30pm.

Officers are now looking to trace his whereabouts in London, although he may have since left the area.

Stuart is described as a white man with a medium build.  He is around 6ft 2″ in height with short, dark, receding hair.

He was last seen wearing a blue top along with a black hooded top, blue jeans and white trainers.  He was also carrying a dark rucksack.

Police Scotland has been working with Greater Manchester Police and the Metropolitan Police Service in order to trace Stuart.  They are also continuing to conduct searches of CCTV images from across the country.

Inspector Jonathan Elliot of Drylaw Police Station said:  “We are continuing our search for Stuart, which has now moved to London.

“Anyone who knows Stuart’s whereabouts in either Edinburgh, Manchester or London, or recognises his description, is asked to contact police immediately.”
