Just three weeks after going on sale, Hearts have announced they have sold more than 10,000 season tickets for the forthcoming 2016/17 season.

In keeping with recent seasons, the Maroon Army are once again backing their club in huge numbers which is all the more impressive when one considers these financially testing times.

Hearts Director of Football Craig Levein lauded the ‘incredible’ Hearts support. He told the club’s official website:

“The tremendous backing of the Hearts support never ceases to amaze me,” said the former Scotland manager. “To have sold 10,000 season tickets in such a short space of time is nothing short of incredible.

“The money generated from ticket sales will, amongst other things, play a crucial role in helping the football department shape the playing squad ahead of what promises to be another exciting season for the club and our supporters.”

Hearts have reiterated that the deadline for existing season ticket holders renewing their tickets is this coming Monday, 6th June. Any seats which are not renewed will be released for general sale on Tuesday 7th June.
