Hibs have announced details of how the Club will celebrate its stunning William Hill Scottish Cup triumph with the fans in the city this afternoon.

The highlight will be an open-top bus parade, due to set off at 3:30pm from the High Street following a celebratory reception being hosted by Lord Provost Donald Wilson for the club.

This event will be followed by the public victory parade, which will see team members board an open-top bus and travel from the High Street to Leith, culminating at Leith Links.

The route of the parade is: Lawnmarket – High Street – North Bridge – Princes Street – Leith Street – Picardy Place – Leith Walk – Constitution Street – Queen Charlotte Street – John’s Place – Duncan Place – Leith Links.

Plans for the parade were discussed and have been jointly approved by the Council, Police Scotland, emergency services, Hibernian Football Club and Lothian Buses. It is anticipated that there will be a degree of disruption to traffic while the event is ongoing, however every effort will be made to keep this to a minimum.
