2011_10 Police signs 5

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Corstorphine which took placeĀ around 12.35 p.m. this afternoon on St Johns Road, outside the Tanz tanning salon.

A 13-year-old boy was involved in a collision with a black cab and suffered injuries to his legs.

The cab stopped at the scene and the boy has been taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.Ā At this time it is not believed he has sustained any life-threatening injuries.

St john’s Road has now re-opened and enquiries are continuing into the full circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is urged to come forward.

The public are thanked for their patience and co-operation while officers conducted their investigation at the scene.

Inspector Davie Ferguson from Corstorphine Police Station said: “The investigation to establish the full circumstances surrounding this collision is continuing.

“As part of our ongoing inquiries we are keen to hear from any motorists or members of the public who witnessed this incident and I would urge them to contact police immediately should they have any information.”
