The Hibs squad arrived in the Costa Del Sol yesterday for a four day training camp as preparation for Sunday’s Scottish League Cup Final presented by Utilita continues.

The training conditions were the primary reason for the getaway, with weather more comfortable than the winter climates experienced in Edinburgh over the past few weeks.

Hibs have a number of injury doubts for the game, with influential defender Pau Hanlon definitely missing.

Concerns remain for Dylan McGeouch who was forced to leave the field on Sunday with a groin strain although it is understood that Fraser Fyvie will take part in the training sessions.

Although the former Aberdeen and Wigan midfielder who was injured following a reckless challenge after the full time whistle blew at Cappielow following Hibs victory over Morton last month, is unlikely to start, he may be available for a place on the bench.

Head Coach Alan Stubbs told Hibs’ TV:  “We wanted to get away in an environment where we’re all together, away from all the hype and most importantly to be in a place where we know the weather isn’t going to affect our training.

“The weather will be nice, it won’t be teeming down with rain or howling with wind, and it gives us an opportunity to spend more time on the training pitch.”
