Police have released CCTV of a man that officers would like to speak to in connection with a robbery and two attempted robberies in Edinburgh last year.

The first incident occurred at around 2.30pm on Sunday 20 December at Greggs The Bakery on Restalrig Road South.

The second incident occurred at around 4.05pm on Tuesday 22 December, at the AQQA store again on Restalrig Road South.

The third incident occurred at around 11pm on Friday 25 December, at the May Sun takeaway on Craigentinny Road.

Officers believe that the male shown in the image may be able to assist them with their enquiries and appeal to any members of the public who may recognise him to come forward.

He is described as white, in his 20’s, between 5ft 5ins and 5ft 7ins tall, with a medium build and speaks with a Scottish accent.

Detective Constable John McShane said: “These incidents have been a frightening experience for those targeted, and we’re eager to hear from anyone who can assist with our ongoing investigation.”
