Police have confirmed that no crime was committed in relation to a camera which was found in changing rooms at Meadowbank Sports Centre.

Enquiries have established that the camera was installed for a legitimate purpose and nothing untoward was recorded.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Following an incident at Meadowbank Sports Centre on Tuesday – 2nd March – where a potentially suspicious camera was discovered in the changing rooms, Police in Edinburgh have concluded their investigation and are satisfied that no crime was committed.

“Officers conducted thorough and comprehensive inquiries including analysis of the images recorded and are satisfied that it contained nothing untoward.

“The camera was in place for a legitimate crime prevention purpose and there was no intention to record anything that would constitute a crime.”
