Search Consultancy have announced this morning that more than 500 call centre roles are being created in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The recruitment specialist is taking on over 500 customer advisors for a selection of clients across a wide range of sectors including banking, retail and technology.

The inbound advisors will respond to telephone enquiries and answer customer queries across a range of products and services, in roles covering financial management, customer ordering, retail delivery systems and IT.

Call centre experience is not a prerequisite but candidates must have experience of providing a high standard of customer service.

Full time, part time and flexible working roles are available.

The company is looking to fill the mix of temporary full time and part time vacancies throughout September and October meaning new recruits will be settled in their new roles before Christmas.

Julie Calisir, director of call and contact centre and office services for Search, said the recruitment drive is an indication of the growth of Scotland’s economy.

She said: “There are some fantastic opportunities on offer and we’re really pleased to be on the lookout for such a high number of candidates. Recruiting for this number of roles demonstrates that things are looking healthier for Scotland’s business landscape.

“The clients we’re recruiting for all have a great reputation and the jobs drive shows that they are building and developing their businesses in response to increased demand.

“We would encourage people who are looking for a new and exciting call centre role to contact us to find out more.”
