Welcome to the crazy world of Pete Marino’s newest creation Lance, a celebrity obsessed showman and chat show host. Against all the odds Lance, who has just completed his 24 day run at the Edinburgh Fringe with his show Late With Lance at The Counting House has picked up his first ever award for the LIST’S prestigious Bribe of the Week.
The showman prides himself on knowing all the stars and he had invited Hugh Jackman, Liza Minelli and Miami Sound Machine to his Edinburgh show (sadly they were no shows during his 24 day run). Marino triumphed after he presented the publication judges with an old T shirt once belonging to Jackman complete with Vegemite stains, together with a genuine pair of of Liza – with a Zee – Minelli’s – eyelashes. The respected awards are presented to Fringe performers who present the publication with the most creative personally-relevant merchandise or the coolest-looking stuff.
Holding back his euphoria of picking up the coveted prize Lance said , ”To be honoured by The LIST means more to me than a Fringe First, Fosters, or any other award that starts with an F. I would thank my agent but I don’t have one. Yet!”
