A Stockbridge institution, Hector’s made itself a firm favourite amongst discerning Edinburgh drinkers a long time ago, and following a full refurbishment the pub is looking better than ever, with a brand new food and drink offering to boot.
Taking its cues from the well-to-do Stockbridge surroundings, the interior has been thoroughly spruced, with the bright and airy front bar offset by a cosy back bar with an industrial edge, boasting exposed lightbulbs, a collection of mismatched vintage furniture and plenty of space for drinking and dining.

Food has always been famous at Hector’s, and now the offering is even more exciting, with a new menu putting an emphasis on delicious small plates. Brand new dishes include Salt & Pepper Squid with spicy mayonnaise, BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders, Whitebait with tartare sauce and lemon and Potted Smoked Chicken & Duck Rillettes, with apricot & apple chutney and sourdough toast.
For those not given to sharing their food, a selection of traditional pub classics will also be available, larger plates that draw on the finest seasonal ingredients. Choose from Pan-Fried Salmon Fillet with asparagus, heritage potatoes and wild garlic pesto, Chicken, Leek & Ham Hock Pie with mash, braised carrots and seasonal vegetables or Slow-cooked British short rib with fries, summer slaw & ginger ale ketchup, while a range of traditional roasts are served on Sundays with all the trimmings.

An extended collection of fantastic drinks is the perfect partner to the new menu, with a regularly rotating range of draught beers and cask ales on offer. Expect to find a host of interesting tipples on tap from the likes of Beavertown and Harviestoun breweries, alongside a great range of wines & spirits from across the globe.
