Edinburgh’s Waldorf Astoria continues to win even more awards this year.

Following success at the event last year the luxury hotel picked up six accolades recently at the 2014 Scottish Hotel Awards:

Guerlain Spa – Spa Treatments

Guerlain Spa – Spa of the Year

Galvin Brasserie de Luxe – Restaurant of the Year

Brenda Riva – Housekeeper of the Year

Nitin Ramtri – People Management and Motivation Award

Chris Logan – Ambassador for Hospitality

Spa Relaxation Lounge

These awards bring to 19 the number the hotel has received since the rebrand as a Waldorf Astoria Hotel in 2012 and includes five for The Guerlain Spa, the only one of its kind in the UK.  Described as ‘a haven of luxury and tranquility’ the Guerlain Spa follows the philosophy of luxury, innovation and sheer sensorial indulgence made famous by its Parisian namesake, Guerlain’s original ‘L’Institut de Beauté’ making it truly unique as recognised by the judges.

The Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh is also shortlisted in the Group Hotel of the Year category at the prestigious Catey Awards to be announced in July.

Dale MacPhee, General Manager, said: ‘I am thrilled that we have won so many awards and that each area of our business is recognised.  Delivering consistently high service levels for our clients is our overall objective and this is a real team effort.  This range of endorsements, together with our nomination at the Catey Awards later in the year, demonstrates that we are achieving that.’
