Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision in the city’s Dalry Road on Saturday afternoon, when a motorcyclist, his pillion passenger and a pedestrian were injured.

It is believed that the motorcyclist collided with a bus shelter, injuring himself and his pillion passenger and a pedestrian waiting at the bus stop.

All three were taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where the motorcyclist and passenger remain in a serious condition. The pedestrian was only slightly injured.

Sergeant Alan Stewart from the Road Policing Unit, who is investigating the incident, said: “Dalry Road was quite busy at the time of the incident, and I would appeal for anyone who saw what happened, or the motorcycle just before it crashed, to contact Police Scotland on 101 or through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
