The Royal Yacht Britannia can now boast the title of the World’s most translated audio tour.  Brazilian Portuguese, Turkish, Thai, Cantonese and Punjabi have been added this year to Britannia’s growing list of languages, bringing the total to 27 – more than any other tourist attraction in the world.

Head of Marketing & Visitor Experience, Lynda Dalgleish, commented:-“Britannia travelled the world, and now the world travels to Britannia, as each year we welcome 300,000 visitors from across the globe to experience this iconic ship. New languages have been added gradually in response to demand from customers, and this year also saw the introduction of our British Sign Language tablet, all of which is included in our normal day ticket.”

The audio guide features commentary describing The Queen’s former floating palace throughout the tour. Highlights include the State Dining Room, The Queen’s Bedroom, the Crew’s Quarters and the gleaming Engine Room.

The Edinburgh Reporter was invited along to a visual display of all the languages now covered by the tour:-
