The Dnipro Kids Appeal charity is looking for volunteers to help with a pre-match bucket collection before the Dundee United match next Friday night (28 February, kick off 7.45pm).

Every donation will help to make a significant difference to the lives of the children of Dnipropetrovsk.

As many volunteers as possible are needed to shake a bucket at the turnstiles for around 30 minutes prior to the game.

Anyone interested in making a difference should email steven@dniprokids.com. Buckets can be collected from the Clubstore from 6.30pm.

During Hibs’ 2005 UEFA Cup trip to Dnipropetrovsk, supporters saw the unbearable conditions forced upon the orphans and decided to make a difference.

It all started with a one-off bucket collection, prior to the club’s home UEFA cup game against FC Dnipro, in September 2005, soon becoming a fully-fledged charity within a few months.

Over the following years the generous spirit of Hibs’ fans has raised well over £15,000 for the Dnipro Kids Appeal to aid orphaned children in Ukraine.
