Hibs have launched their ‘Half Season Ticket’ scheme which takes effect from the home game against Kilmarnock on 29 December, and to publicise the sale, new manager Terry Butcher was persuaded to climb to the top of Arthur’s Seat on a particularly windy day.

A statement on the club website read: “It’s a fact that alongside our 8,000 plus current Season Ticket Memberships, every new Half Season Member adds more spending power to our football department. They also help make Easter Road Stadium a more intimidating place for our opponents to visit. We have therefore taken the decision to reduce prices in every category to make it even easier for as many people as possible to commit.

“With Terry Butcher and his team come a renewed focus, surely there has never been a better opportunity to positively influence a bright Hibernian future together.”
