FOUNDATION OF HEARTS FIRST DIRECT DEBIT PROCESS SUCCESSFUL

The Foundation of Hearts has announced that the first month of direct debits has been successful.

As of at 5:00pm last night, the success rate on payments was 98%, compared to a standard industry average of 94% for other direct debits, such as utility bills.

With the addition of a significant number of additional sign-ups over the weekend and on Monday, some supporters won’t see their first payment come off their account until Monday with the Foundation’s UK direct debit provider running final processes over the next two days.

To celebrate the first of many years of monthly commitments, the Foundation of Hearts has launched a celebratory “SuperDraw” for supporters who have successfully had a direct debit drawn down, to win a series of unique prizes.

These include 12 pairs of tickets to participate in a re-recording of the Hearts song with Colin Chisolm, who sang the 1986 version, and more recently appeared on BBC’s The Voice.

Other prizes include a dream day at Tynecastle as a player escort for Hearts v Celtic (14th September), the opportunity to present Jason Holt with his Foundation of Hearts Man of the Match champagne from the recent game against Aberdeen (sponsored by directors and advisers of the Foundation), and various pieces of signed merchandise.

Foundation of Hearts chairman Ian Murray MP said:-“We extend a huge thanks to supporters. The fact that the first month of direct debits has gone so well, is wonderful news, as it gives us as great platform to push on. There are, of course, many more months and years of direct debits, but to have finally got the process underway is terrific.

“To have a 98% success rate on direct debits is virtually unheard of, and it is again a sign of the unwavering loyalty of the Hearts support.

“To say thank you we’re running our Foundation of Hearts SuperDraw with some great prizes. It’s just our way of showing a little appreciation of the big commitment that 7,600 supporters have now made.

“Of course, it is not too late for supporters to join this journey, by signing up if they can, at www.foundationofhearts.org

Supporters will have received an email by now with details of how to participate in the free to enter draw. Winners will be announced next week.
