TGSThe Graveyard Slot, theSpace @ Surgeons Hall, 3 to 17 August (except 4, 11), £9 (£7.50 concession)

All-female Hecate Theatre Co. are back at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2013 with The Graveyard Slot, a spooky, silly radio play inspired by circa 1930s wireless shows.

Featuring six actors, two microphones and a smorgasbord of silly voices, The Graveyard Slot combines comedy and suspense to terrifically wacky effect. The audience are invited to tune their ears to a tale of mystery, séances and buried treasure as Janet de Bastion returns to her family mansion for a birthday party she’ll never forget. Sound effects, music and character voices are performed live by the cast and the production features composer Sara Garrard’s spooky and original score.

Hecate Theatre Co. launched in 2010 and has consistently produced innovative and exciting shows, performed by an all-female cast. They are proud to donate 5% of all their profits to breast cancer charity, CoppaFeel. Hecate enjoyed their first Fringe in 2012, with their acclaimed twist on Ovid’s epic, Metamorphoses: Fables from Ovid.
