The Edinburgh Reporter tweeted a photo of a hole in the road the other day… and this evening it is being fixed!
We took the time to send the photo to Transport Convenor Lesley Hinds who has now instructed council workmen to raise the manhole which had obviously sunk a good few inches below the road surface. The council workmen explained that the manhole cover must belong to one of the utility companies but they had asked and no-one came forward.
So the council is now fixing the huge pothole which had developed.
