Jimeoin’s press releases lack any sense of humour… Unlike his show which is hilarious… After a phenomenal 2012 and spring 2013 with his massive tours of UK and Ireland selling out and having to be extended due to demand, Jimeoin returns to the Edinburgh fringe – for a strictly limited season.
In 2012, despite the pressures of the Olympics, a surprise burst of actual summer weather (the first since March which saw Scots relaxing on every available square inch of grass and being understandably most unwilling to head indoors whilst the ‘heatwave’ lasted) not to mention the biting recession, huge audiences made Jimeoin – What?! the biggest comedy show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Loved by audiences around the world for his brilliant wit and razor-sharp take on the absurdities of everyday life, Jimeoin’s shows are no-gimmicks, big laughs and stand-up comedy at it’s very best.
Having left his native Northern Irish town of Portstewart in the 1990’s and settling in Australia where he started his comedy career, Jimeoin (pronounced Jim-Owen) is now such a household name there he’s even had racehorses named after him. His disarmingly relaxed, cheeky, often surreal humour has led to sell-out tours to record-breaking audiences across the length & breadth of Australia, UK and Ireland. He is a father of 4, a keen fisherman, skateboarder and golfer and has released several top-selling CD’S and DVD’s.
