Pedal on Parliament – Community Council meeting –  Train like a commando! – Elvis Costello – Book Sale

Just under a week until Pedal on Parliament now. There will hopefully be thousands of cyclists on the streets of Edinburgh highlighting the need for some changes to our road layouts, and perhaps also a mind change among all road users to ensure the safety of cyclists.

It is disappointing then to read the latest blog post on the Pedal on Parliament website and find that neither the Transport Minister or the First Minister can make an appearance on the day….

Will you be there?

Craigleith/Community Council meets this evening at 20:30 in the Stewart’s Melville Dining Room. That is on Queensferry Road, and not in Oklahoma, USA as the map on their website suggests!

Meet at Hemma on Holyrood Road at 6.30 in your fitness gear and then be led out into Holyrood Park by Martin Dixon an ex-Marine who will help you to Do it Commando. See more on their Facebook page.

Something for you to book for next month. Elvis Costello and the Imposters are appearing at the Festival Theatre on 16 June. Book your tickets here!

Remember the Christian Aid book sale running in St Andrew’s and St George’s West Church on George Street. There are over 100,000 books on sale so you might find something you like…..
