Pedal on Parliament – The Planners – Edinburgh Do – International Women’s Day – It’s Good 2 Give!

Pedal on Parliament is now going to take place on Sunday 19 May 2013. The move to Sunday has been to accommodate concerns by the council over closing two main routes through the city for about an hour and a half. But the main thing is that it is taking place. See our earlier article here to find out more.

The Scottish Storytelling Centre are running a series of events throughout the day to mark International Women’s Day.

International Women’s Day has been observed since in the early 1900s, a time of great expansion and turbulence in the industrialized world that saw booming population growth and the rise of radical ideologies. In celebration we decided nothing could be more perfect than a good Claire McNicol old Tea Dance Stomp in the evening after a series of free workshops on storytelling, singing and creative writing on Friday 8 March!
