Lothian and Borders Police are issuing an Easter message urging warrant offenders to come forward.
Members of the public in the West of Edinburgh will receive a greeting card from the Force urging them to contact police and settle their outstanding warrants.
The cards will be distributed between now and Friday 30 March 2012 by officers from the Warrants Team at Wester Hailes Police Station.
Around 350 people are due to receive the Easter message and these individuals are asked to get in touch with their local policing team as soon as possible or face further police action.
Sergeant Steve Adam said:- “We have previously had great success when issuing a festive message asking people to settle their warrants and we are confident the majority of those who receive a card this time will also make contact.
“The spring season is a great chance for people to get rid of the clutter in their lives and make a fresh start and those with outstanding warrants should seize this opportunity.
“Local officers in the West of Edinburgh will actively follow-up these Easter messages and anyone who does not respond to our request may find themselves being arrested.”
