Edinburgh’s Christmas is going on for a bit longer than anticipated. They have announced that some of the Edinburgh’s Christmas festivities in East Princes Street Gardens are being extended until Sunday 9 January 2011.  Edinburgh’s Ice Rink and the Christmas Fair in the Gardens will stay open an extra five days in the new year, giving people the chance to enjoy Christmas a little while longer.

Visitors can indulge in a spot of shopping in the January sales followed by a skate around Edinburgh’s Ice Rink or a spin around the Edinburgh Wheel.

Edinburgh’s Ice Rink will now stay open from 10am – 8pm (Sun to Wed) and 10am – 10pm (Thurs to Sat) and the Christmas Fair will open from 10am – 10pm between 5 – 9 January, so there is still plenty of time to get down to the Gardens and enjoy the magical Edinburgh’s Christmas experience.
