Andrew Leitch was a serial winner at the annual Waverley club tennis championships winning both the men’s open and men’s senior singles as well as the open and senior mixed (with, respectively, Kim Atkinson and Claire Leitch).

For good measure Andrew also claimed the men’s doubles crown with Scott Tulloch whom he had defeated 6-4. 3-6. 6-4 in the open singles final.

The ladies open singles was won by Jules Mair who overcame relatively new member Daria Pershina 6-1, 6-2 before teaming up with Kim Atkinson to win the ladies open doubles.

Other winners were Ronnie Petre and Allan Paton (senior men’s doubles) while among the juniors Joseph Dingwall and Donald Dow Ewing won at under-12 and under-14 level beating, respectively, Finlay Ormond and Oliver Davidson.

The under-12 plate was won by Hamish Mair who overcame Duncan Usher.
