A charity golf day hosted by the Liberton Club has raised £6,000 – £1,000 more than the target figure – for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

The event was the idea of member Harold Feather, whose grandson, Harry, was born with the disease a year ago.

Unfortunately no winners could be declared due to a prolonged downpour which flooded the course (see pic) but, nevertheless, the objective was realised and added to a further £4,000 raised by Harold’s daughter, Katie, by running the London Marathon the overall donation reached four figures.
