Curl Edinburgh welcomed a team of Canadian lady curlers during their three week long, 17 leg, tour of Scotland.

A succession of matches culminating in the award of the Muriel Farge Friendship Trophy when scores were added up at journey’s end meant the visitors had just too much cohesion and expertise for their Capital hosts.

But, overall, the visit, which also included a series of sight-seeing excursions and meals, was voted an overwhelming success as it also touched down in places such as Stranraer, Dundee and, finally, Hamilton.

The Canadian lady curlers were piped into Curl Edinburgh by the Merchiston Castle School band.

The next incoming tour will feature curlers from the USA in November, 2026.
