Disappointed David Martindale, Livingston’s interim head coach, admitted his men had a lot of control of their home clash against ten-man Ayr United on Saturday.
The Lions lost 2-1 in front of a crowd of nearly 2,000 but he felt Ayr were fortunate at times.
He added: “Losing two goals at home, I do not think that is acceptable.”
Martindale (pictured) described the two goals lost as being “slack” but he said that the game becomes harder when the opposition are down to ten men.
The second goal “killed” Livingston, he said, as it gave the opposition something to hang on to.
Martindale he said: “We had more than enough chances in the game, we had more than enough control of the game and entries into the opoonents box to get more from the game.”
