Wouter Vrancken praised Calvin Miller for slotting into defence against Dundee United and proving a real asset in the 4-0 victory at Tynecastle.
The Belgian-born head coach joked that he had found a new defensive player in the ex-Falkirk man.
Vrancken was forced into the switch with a number of players sidelined through injury and he commented: “We found a new full-back, I think.”
He said that the contribution of Miller, normally a winger, was “amazing” and added: “Sometimes when you take a player out of position then they do not do it with all their heart.
“It was amazing to see how much he brought in the game and defensively he was solid. I was really happy with the defence in general.
“It is not the intention to use him (Miller) as a long-term full-back, but it was necessary, we had to find a solution.”
