Movement in and out of Tynecastle. Goalkeeper Alexander Schwolow is leaving the club to join FSV Mainz 05, but he remains available for selection by Hearts until August 1.
Replacing him is 6ft 6in Dutchman Beau Reus who joins Hearts as a free agent, signing a three-year deal.
The 24-year-old has spent the last four years in Belgium as Beveren’s No 1.
Last season, Beveren won the Second Division title by 21 points and he let in only 23 goals.
Other news and Macaulay Tait has joined St Johnstone on a permanent deal after making 16 appearances after initially impressing in the club’s B team.
Tait, aged 20, spent the previous two seasons in loan at Livingston.
Finally, goalkeeper Liam McFarlane has joined Patrick Thistle on loan for this season as the Glasgow side look to return to the top flight of Scottish football.
