Wng-back Adam Mayor (21) has signed for an undisclosed fee from EFL Championship side Millwall and becomes the fifth signing of the summer ahead of the 2026/27 season for Hibernian FC.
Beginning his youth career with Tranmere Rovers and Preston North End, Mayor then moved to Morecambe in 2020.
There, the defender soon broke into the first team as a 17-year-old, where he impressed with his pace and power.
His progress continued, with the full-back making 67 appearances for the Shrimps, scoring seven times, and making his debut against MK Dons in August 2022.
After an impressive spell at Morecambe, Mayor joined Millwall in January 2024 and made his debut against Coventry City less than two weeks later.
He has subsequently enjoyed loan spells at EFL League Two sides Bromley and Cambridge United.
Upon the arrival of Mayor, Hibernian FC Head Coach David Gray commented: “We’re delighted to bring another exciting young player into the building and welcome Adam to Hibernian FC.
“He is a promising young player to add to the group, and he has already made successful strides in his career so far.
“There’s no doubt Adam will bring real athleticism to the squad. He’s a wing-back who really loves attacking and putting crosses into the box and can contribute at both ends of the pitch.
“We’re all looking forward to him joining the group and working with him going forward.”
Hibernian FC Sporting Director Malky Mackay added: “I am delighted to bring someone of Adam’s potential and ability to Hibernian FC.
“He is a really exciting young talent whose performance levels and consistency over recent seasons have been of a high standard, and at just 21, we feel he is only going to continue to improve.
“He is another good young professional and fits the profile of the type of players that we are recruiting.
“We’re all looking forward to working with Adam and watching him make his mark in Scotland.”
