The local community came together to celebrate the official opening of the newly refurbished tennis courts in Juniper Green.
One of the club’s longstanding supporters, Sue Webber, former MSP, officially open the new playing facilities by cutting the green ribbon ahead of play commencing on court. Throughout the afternoon, scores of children took part in junior coaching sessions delivered by Accelerate Tennis, bringing energy and excitement to the courts.
The special event showcased not only the transformed tennis courts which the club had been obliged to raise around £100,000 to refurbish but also the strong community spirit surrounding the historic club/
Local MP, Dr Scott Arthur, was also in attendance and praised the redevelopment, describing the venue as “a fantastic facility that brings joy, connection, and real value to so many lives.”
