Legal firm Lindsays has appointed veteran litigation specialist Daniel Bain as a partner amid a major expansion drive.
Mr Bain joins the independent firm’s dispute resolution and litigation (DRL) team, marking Lindsays’ seventh partner appointment this year.
His arrival comes shortly after the firm announced its expansion in Glasgow through a merger with Dallas McMillan, which was unveiled on 24 June and is set to take effect on 1 September.
With over two decades of legal experience, Mr Bain spent nearly three years as a partner at Balfour + Manson and 20 years at Shepherd and Wedderburn, where he progressed from trainee solicitor to legal director.
He specialises in commercial property, contract disputes, and contentious private client cases.

He added that the firm’s reputation and positive workplace culture were key factors in his decision to join.
The DRL team is headed by partner John Bett, who is also the current Dean of the Royal Faculty of Procurators in Glasgow.

The upcoming merger with Dallas McMillan will increase Lindsays’ Glasgow team from 80 to 123 staff, raising the firm’s total headcount to 417 across its offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Perth, and Crieff.
