Health-technology company Ivy AI Solutions presented its AI-powered skin-screening platform to international partners and healthcare exhibitors at the HKTDC medical and healthcare fair in Hong Kong in May 2026 — one of Asia-Pacific’s largest gatherings for medical technology and digital health.
The company used the event to showcase how low-friction, smartphone-based skin screening can support earlier skin-health awareness, at a time when interest in preventive and digital health is rising sharply across the region and beyond.
Bringing skin screening to the phone
Skin concerns are among the most common reasons people seek health information, yet access to specialist dermatology can involve long waits in many health systems. That gap — between everyday worry about a mole or a changing patch of skin and the point at which someone sees a professional — is the space Ivy AI Solutions set out to address.
Its platform, ScanSkinAI, lets users screen and monitor visible skin concerns from a phone photo. It runs entirely in a web browser, with no app to download, and covers more than 80 skin conditions. Crucially, the company is clear about what the tool is and is not: it is designed for informational, screening and monitoring purposes only, and does not diagnose disease or replace a doctor, dermatologist or clinical examination.
That positioning — a wellbeing and screening tool rather than a diagnostic device — was a recurring theme of the company’s presence at the fair. The aim, representatives said, is to help people notice changes earlier and understand when a concern is worth raising with a healthcare professional, rather than to offer a verdict.

A focus on partnerships
Much of Ivy AI Solutions’ activity in Hong Kong centred on partnerships. The company already works with insurers, employers, pharmacies and wellbeing platforms across seven-plus countries, distributing its screening tools as part of preventive-health and member-engagement programmes.
For these organisations, the appeal is straightforward: skin health is visible, personal, and something people will engage with from their own phone in a quiet moment — making it a rare low-friction entry point into preventive health. Used as part of a wider wellbeing programme, browser-based screening can support member engagement and may help improve access to early skin-health awareness, while routing users toward appropriate professional review when needed.
The company emphasises that any deployment is accompanied by clear safety wording, consent flows and escalation guidance, and that partners undertake their own privacy and compliance review before launch.
A growing market for accessible screening
The interest the platform attracted in Hong Kong reflects a broader shift. Employers and insurers are increasingly looking for preventive-health tools that the people who would benefit most will actually use — historically one of the hardest groups to engage. Digital, self-directed screening that meets people where they already are has emerged as one of the more promising answers.
“People will check their skin from their phone in a moment they would never book an appointment for,” said George Zhu, founder of Ivy AI Solutions. “Our goal is to make that first step as easy and as private as possible, and to help people understand when something is worth showing a professional. It is about awareness and earlier conversations, not diagnosis.”
The platform’s screening is supported by clinical review, and the company says it continues to work with healthcare partners to ensure its guidance is responsible and clearly framed.
Looking ahead
Ivy AI Solutions said it plans to continue expanding its partner network and its presence at international health and benefits events through 2026, as demand for accessible, preventive skin-health screening grows.
The company stresses, however, that its tools are a complement to professional care, not a substitute for it. Anyone with a skin concern that is changing, bleeding, painful or not healing — or any symptom that worries them — is encouraged to seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
ScanSkinAI is an AI-powered skin-health platform by Ivy AI Solutions. It is designed for informational, screening and monitoring support only, and does not diagnose disease or replace professional medical advice.
