The rail disaster at Quintinshill will be marked with the annual Gretna Memorial Service organised by the Royal Scots.

The service will be held on 23 May 2026 at Rosebank Cemetery Edinburgh.

Any members of the Royal Scots past and present are invited to assemble at the Pilrig Street entrance to the Cemetery at 10.30. The parade, led by The Royal Scots Association Pipe Band and The Royal Scots Association Standards, will set off at 10.45 to march to the Memorial.

The service will commence at 10.55 and last for approximately 20 minutes.

All are welcome to join the march or congregate at the Memorial. There will be the opportunity to lay wreaths during the service.

This year there will be an exhibition at the former 7th Battalion Drill Hall, Out of the Blue, Dalmeny Street, from 18 – 23 May 2026.
