An investigation is underway after a car was set on fire at a property on Balderston Gardens North in Edinburgh around 4am on Wednesday 27 May 2026.
The fire was extinguished and no-one was injured according to police.
The same property had also been targeted the previous day.
Officers say they are keeping an open mind whether both incidents on Balderston Gardens North are linked to Operation Portaledge, the investigation into the ongoing gangland feud.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4am on Wednesday, 27 May, we received a report of a vehicle on fire at a property on Balderston Gardens North in Edinburgh.
“Emergency services attended and the fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
“There are no reported injuries. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
In a further statement officers said: “Around 2.40am on Tuesday, 26 May, we received a report of a disturbance at a property on Balderston Gardens North in Edinburgh. Enquiries are ongoing.”
Elsewhere a lorry reversed into a property on Brand Drive, near Portobello, on Tuesday afternoon.
The street was closed to facilitate the investigation but has now opened.
Online threats were made online after that incident.
