St Serfs tennis club, Goldenacre, is 100 years old and to mark the milestone Welfare Officer, Marisa ChongKwan, has produced an artwork capturing action on the courts behind the local church.
Highlight of the celebrations will be a reunion on Saturday 8 August at 2pm to which all ex-players are invited to join with the current personnel.
The afternoon’s activities will include a wooden racket tournament as well as an exhibition match by members of the men’s first team who won Division One of the VMH Solicitors East League as recently as 2024.
Overall this season the club have reinstated their men’s fourth team while there will be three women’s teams in league action.
