East Lothian Community and Roads Policing Officers carried out a road check in Pencaitland yesterday Friday 3 April 2026.
The operation was in response to concerns from the local Community Council around speeding and road safety at the junction of Lempockwells Road.
Officers later confirmed that a total of 48 drivers were stopped in relation to speed, mobile phone use and seatbelt offences.
Warnings were issued in line with the Lord Advocates guidelines and a number of fixed penalty tickets were also issued for Road Traffic.
