Police have confirmed that a 15-year-old girl who went missing from the Portobello area earlier this week has now been traced.
Officers issued appeals to the public for help to locate Diarra Niang who went missing on Tuesday 7 April 2026.
The good news was confirmed earlier today and officers have thanked those who shared the appeal.
A police spokesperson said: “Diarra Niang, who was reported missing from the Portobello area earlier this week, has been traced.
“Thanks to those who shared our appeal.”
