Detectives are appealing for information following two housebreakings in the Lothian area.
The first incident happened between 12pm on Thursday, 3 April and 12.50pm on Friday, 4 April, 2026, at a property in McBeath Avenue, Polbeth.
The second incident took place around 4pm on Friday, 4 April, 2026, at Blairhill Crescent, Livingston.
Officers are keen to trace two men.
The first man is described as white, around six-foot tall and was wearing a blue waterproof jacket with black lining in the hood and black trousers. He was also wearing a blue mask that matched the jacket.
The second man is described as white and wearing the same jacket and mask as the first man and was in possession of a rucksack. He may also have been wearing gloves.
Detective Constable Michael Fairbanks said: “We are continuing our investigations into these two housebreakings and are treating them as linked.
“I would ask anyone who may have seen anything unusual, or who may have captured CCTV or dashcam footage that would assist us, to get in touch.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting 1497 of 4 April, 2026.”
